Sri Saraswathi Vidya Mandir School was started in the year 1973 in Hanuman Mandir, Journalist Colony, Prathavnagar with twenty students and Smt. Lakshmi Kumari was the first Acharya. Sri Rachapudi Poornachandra Rao's mother, the late Srimati Sitaravamma, used to teach children the recitation of Bhagavata and Shataka verses.

During the Emergency, due to pressure from public representatives, it had to be shifted from the Journalist Colony to the house of Sri Gowri Shankar in Keshavnagar. From there, it was shifted to the house of the late Sri Penumaka Ramachandra Rao

After that, 900 sq. m. of land was allocated for the school in the "Keshavnagar Sankshema Samiti" colony. The school was constructed with the help of the colony residents, donors, and well-wishers. It achieved progress by providing education with patriotic values ​​through the mother tongue and teaching good manners.

The Sri Saraswathi Vidya Mandir, Keshavnagar School, was merged with the Sri Saraswathi Vidyapeetham, founded by Sri Sathagopam Lakshminarasimhacharya, in 1984. Since then, the school has been progressing in the Telugu medium, teaching Sadacharam and Sanskrit along with the government syllabus, following the rules and regulations of Shri Saraswathi Vidyapeeth.

Proud Moments - Our Achievements

The school has been in operation for 50 years, which means that at least five generations of children have studied here, and two or three generations of workers have worked here. Running the school consistently for so many years is a great achievement. Like any other institution that strives to reach a higher level, SSVM is striving to grow and develop its standards in order to meet the specifications declared by National Education Policy (NEP -2020).
